Thousands protest in Morocco against ties with 'genocidal' Israel

Thousands of Moroccans protested in Rabat against their country's ties with Israel, denouncing Israel for 'genocide' in Gaza. The protest comes after Morocco established diplomatic ties with Israel in 2020 under the Abraham Accords. Demonstrators called for the abrogation of the normalization deal and carried banners reading 'Normalization is treason' and 'Stop the massacre.' The rally, organized by leftist parties and Islamist movements, drew an estimated crowd of over 10,000 people. Morocco has officially denounced Israel's violations of international law but has not indicated any reversal of the normalization with Israel.
