The Polish government has adopted a resolution to ensure the safe participation of Israeli representatives, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at the 80th anniversary commemorations of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. This comes after an arrest warrant was issued for Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in connection with the war in the Gaza Strip. Poland, as a member of the ICC, is required to detain suspects facing a warrant if they enter their soil, but the court has no way to enforce this. Some countries, including France, have already stated that they would not arrest Netanyahu.
