Israeli curators Belu-Simion Fainaru and Avital Bar-Shay are exhibiting Israeli artworks at the International Biennale of Havana, Cuba, despite the two countries not having formal relations. The Havana Biennale is one of the oldest biennale exhibits worldwide and showcases art that isn't necessarily Western world art. Fainaru and Bar-Shay are the only Israeli artists participating in the event, and they have not hidden their identities as Israelis.
