A father from Rainworth, Nottinghamshire, is taking on a charity cycling challenge during the month of Ramadan to raise money for Charity Right, a group that provides meals to schoolchildren in neglected parts of the world. Despite a foot injury, Shahid Akhtar aims to cycle 280 miles while fasting and hopes to raise £5,000. Ramadan began on 1 March and is set to end on 30 March.
