A daycare teacher in Haifa unknowingly brought a stray dog infected with rabies to her workplace after a veterinary clinic initially deemed the animal healthy. The dog subsequently attacked five children and four adults at the daycare center. Health officials report that a total of eighteen people were exposed to the rabid animal. The dog was later diagnosed with rabies at a clinic, where it collapsed and died soon after.
