Brothers, 8 and 11, killed in south Gaza strike; IDF: 'Suspects' crossed Yellow Line

Israeli forces killed three Palestinians who crossed the Gaza ceasefire line in two separate incidents in southern Gaza on Saturday, including two brothers aged 8 and 11. The children, Juma and Fadi Abu Asi, were reportedly gathering firewood for their disabled father when they were struck by an airstrike near Khan Younis. Their deaths have drawn grief and outrage from their family and local community, with footage showing mourners at their funeral and hospital. In a separate incident, Israeli troops shot and killed a man identified as a militant who crossed the line in Rafah. The military maintains that such actions are necessary to prevent immediate threats, while warnings have been issued to Palestinians not to approach Israeli positions. The ongoing conflict has resulted in thousands of casualties on both sides since October, with the humanitarian situation in Gaza remaining dire.
