A Palestinian man, Baraa Bilal Issa Qablan, has died after being shot by Israeli forces near Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank. The incident occurred when Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle at the northern entrance to Azzun, resulting in the death of another passenger, Momen Nidal Abu Riyash, and the detention of a third man, Muhammad Saeed Taha Hussein. Qablan was initially injured and detained, but later died from his wounds, according to the Palestinian Authority. The event adds to the rising toll of violence in the West Bank, where more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces or settlers since late 2023, while dozens of Israelis have died in attacks during the same period.
