Telangana is experiencing a significant increase in overseas job opportunities for nurses and caregivers, particularly in European countries such as Germany, Japan, and Russia. In response, the state is scaling up its foreign-language and skill-development initiatives through Telangana Overseas Manpower Company, focusing on Japanese and German language training and strengthening technical education. Officials highlighted that demand for Indian caregivers now extends beyond traditional destinations and communities, with European households and institutions actively seeking talent from India. The demand is expected to grow substantially over the next two decades, driven by demographic changes and immigration reforms in destination countries like Germany. Efforts are also being made to ensure candidates are culturally prepared and aware of support systems abroad, especially for women entering the workforce overseas.
