The White House released letters it said were sent by residents of all 50 states praising President Donald Trump and his administration ahead of the State of the Union address. The messages, described as coming from a range of Americans including soldiers, veterans, parents, and children, expressed strong support for the president’s leadership and policy decisions.
One letter from New York thanked the president for supporting Jewish causes and combating antisemitism, while praising his executive order related to college campuses and describing his ideas for organizing the Gaza Strip as 'fabulous.' Another letter from Kansas shared a request connected to a Holocaust survivor’s 100th birthday, expressing hopes for a birthday card from the president and offering prayers for peace.
Some messages struck a more combative tone, criticizing Democrats and urging aggressive action against drug cartels. A letter from Washington suggested seizing suspected drug boats and using a historic naval vessel to attack them. A separate letter from Vermont, reportedly written by a ten-year-old, celebrated the election victory and expressed optimism for the next four years.
