Iraq is considering the establishment of a free zone to offer imported goods to consumers at competitive prices. The special economic entity will import materials and goods and sell them to the private sector in the local currency. This move is part of a package of measures to address the exchange rate difference. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has instructed the Commerce Ministry to import essential materials and provide them at stable prices in Iraqi dinars.
