Twenty-three Irish citizens leave Gaza, foreign minister says

Twenty-three Irish citizens have left Gaza through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt, according to Irish foreign minister Micheal Martin. This is the first group of Irish citizens to leave Gaza since the start of the Israel-Hamas war. The Irish government had previously stated that around 40 Irish citizens were stuck in Gaza, and more are expected to be allowed to leave in the coming days.
