An Irish-Israeli girl named Emily Hand, who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists during their attacks on the Gaza border, is believed to be languishing in a Hamas terror tunnel on her ninth birthday. Powerful vigils were held in London, Dublin, and New York to mark the occasion. Emily's father, Thomas Hand, expressed his pain at his daughter's captivity and stated that the only celebration would be when she is brought home. He described the conditions in the tunnels as comparable to the Holocaust and pleaded with Emily's captors to release her and the other hostages. Efforts are being made to secure the release of the hostages through negotiations.
