A group of 28 prematurely born babies were evacuated from Gaza's Al Shifa hospital to Egypt for urgent treatment, while 12 people were killed at another Gaza hospital encircled by Israeli tanks. The babies had been in Al Shifa hospital, where several others died after their incubators were knocked out during Israel's military assault on Gaza City. The newborns were transported to a hospital in Rafah before being flown to Cairo. All of the evacuated babies were fighting serious infections. In addition, at least 12 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded at the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, which was encircled by Israeli tanks. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said troops fired back at fighters in the hospital while taking measures to minimize harm to non-combatants.
