A group of senior officials from Muslim countries will visit the UN Security Council's permanent members to push for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The group was formed at a summit of the Arab League and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and includes representatives from Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, the Palestinian Authority, and the OIC Secretary General. Their primary goal is to announce a ceasefire and send humanitarian aid to Gaza, with the aim of contributing to a two-state solution for Palestinians. The group will meet with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron during visits to Britain and France on Wednesday.
