Lebanese official says landmine wounded UN observers

An ongoing investigation by the Lebanese army has found that a landmine wounded three UN military observers and a translator in the south last week. Preliminary results indicate that the observers were wounded by a landmine, but the source of the mine has yet to be determined. Israel's military claims that a Hezbollah explosive charge caused the blast, but a joint investigation by the Lebanese army and UN peacekeepers has yet to determine who planted the mine. The explosion was not caused by direct or indirect fire, according to preliminary reports.
