Two universities win fight to close pro-Palestine encampments

Two top universities, Nottingham and Birmingham, have obtained summary possession orders from the High Court to evict pro-Palestine protesters who set up encampments on their campuses. The orders allow the universities to forcibly remove the activists if they do not leave voluntarily. The encampments, consisting of dozens of tents, have been in place for weeks, with students demanding that the universities sever ties with Israel. Critics argue that the encampments have disrupted university life and created a hostile environment for Jewish and Israeli students.
