Australian actress Ruby Rose has landed a major role in a grisly new Hollywood murder mystery called The Drowning Pool. No details have emerged about what character the 38-year-old will play in the thriller, which will be directed by David Hackl. Set in the Canary Islands, the plot deals with a woman who investigates the disappearance of her sister after her sibling is reported to have drowned. The woman, called Katherine, uncovers a series of 'mysterious' disappearances involving other women in the waters around the islands. The official synopsis explains that eventually Katherine uncovers a gruesome tale of 'ritualistic evil'.
