After days of debate, Iran's senior military commanders convinced Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to launch almost 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. Most of the missiles were intercepted, but Iran has prepared more for future attacks. The strike was in retaliation for the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
