Veteran cricket journalist Peter Lalor has been axed by SEN radio over his social media posts on the conflict in Palestine. Lalor claimed that his posts on the plight of those suffering in Palestine caused the disagreement. Station chief Craig Hutchison confirmed Lalor's departure, citing 'differing views' on the impact of the posts. Lalor had been working as a commentator for Australia's tour to Sri Lanka when he was informed of his dismissal. SEN has issued a statement on his departure ahead of the second Test.
