Archaeological finds biblical account of King Josiah's death at Megiddo

Archaeologists have discovered evidence of Egyptian military presence at the site of Megiddo, supporting the biblical account of King Josiah's death. The findings include a large amount of Egyptian and Greek pottery, suggesting the presence of Egyptian forces and their Greek mercenaries at Megiddo in 609 BCE. The discovery was made at a previously unexplored site known as Area X, where layers of well-preserved remains dating from the eighth to sixth centuries BCE were found. The presence of the pottery is believed to be linked to Pharaoh Necho's army, providing historical evidence for the biblical battle.
