Members of UK Parliament are demanding the disbarment of attorneys who applied to remove Hamas from the country's list of proscribed terrorist organizations. Conservative MP Robert Jenrick reported attorney Fahad Ansari for his support of Hamas and jihad, as well as potential breaches of sanctions regulations. Riverway Law, the firm representing Hamas, responded by suggesting that Jenrick's position was informed by racism and support for Israel. The Board of Deputies of British Jews called the campaign for deproscription a 'deeply misconceived challenge' and accused the firm of supporting a proscribed terrorist organization.
