This follows a statement from Hamas that it would not return a hostage's body as previously promised, citing an Israeli military strike in Gaza. Additionally, the body handed over to Israel was found to be remains of Ofir Sarfati, a hostage whose body had already been returned two years prior. The identity of the remains was confirmed through forensic examination at the Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine.
