Apple has achieved a historic revenue milestone in India, driven by strong demand for the latest iPhone models and a growing retail presence. Chief executive Tim Cook highlighted India as a standout market, both in production and sales, as the company recorded an eight percent increase in global revenues, reaching $102.5 billion. The surge in iPhone sales was attributed to the enthusiastic response to the new iPhone 17 series and the previous generation, with India setting an all-time revenue record alongside other emerging markets.
Apple's expansion in India includes new retail stores and increased manufacturing, with local factories supplying both the domestic and United States markets. The company reported high customer satisfaction and a record number of iPhone upgrades worldwide, with India among the top contributors to growth. Despite ongoing geopolitical challenges, Apple remains committed to further expanding its operations in India, anticipating continued momentum during the upcoming holiday season.
