Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa has argued that the Ramallah-based government is best positioned to lead postwar Gaza, despite significant obstacles from Israel and ongoing internal challenges. Speaking at a virtual event, Mustafa highlighted the Authority's efforts at reform, the severe economic crisis caused by withheld funds and movement restrictions, and the importance of international support. He outlined steps being taken to address corruption and promised upcoming elections, while also emphasizing the need for more decisive international action against Israeli policies and settler violence. Mustafa asserted that the Authority already has a workforce in Gaza and is prepared to invite an international security force to help stabilize the region, stressing that only the Palestinian Authority can effectively restore order and rebuild Gaza with international backing.
