UCL academic reported to the police for 'heinous' antisemitism

Dr Samar Maqusi, an American academic, has been reported to the police and banned from University College London after delivering a lecture containing antisemitic remarks. During her talk to the Students for Justice in Palestine society, Dr Maqusi referenced a centuries-old blood libel, falsely accusing Jews of murdering a monk to use his blood in religious ceremonies, and claimed Jews controlled international finance during the era of Napoleon. The university has also suspended the student group from hosting further events pending an investigation. UCL's president expressed deep regret and apologized to the Jewish community, emphasizing that antisemitism has no place at the institution and promising a thorough inquiry into the incident.
