Itzik Gvili, father of Master Sgt. Ran Gvili, one of the two remaining slain hostages in Gaza, will address what may be the final Hostages Forum rally in Tel Aviv's Hostages Square on Saturday night. The rally comes after the recent release of Dror Or's body and ongoing uncertainty surrounding the fate of Gvili and Thai worker Sudthisak Rinthalak, both killed on October 7, 2023, and whose bodies remain in Gaza. Other family members of slain hostages will also speak at the event, which coincides with additional protests in other locations and a farewell gathering for the Hostages' Tent in Jerusalem. The Hostages Families Forum has indicated that it may end future rallies due to the dwindling number of families left to support and the high costs involved, with the Gvili family expressing understanding of the decision. Despite being declared dead, Itzik Gvili continues to hope for his son's return, expressing fears of a prolonged ordeal similar to past cases.
