Netanyahu taken to a Jerusalem hospital; his office says it's for dental work

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem on Monday evening for unspecified dental treatment, according to a statement from his office. The announcement followed media reports that he had been hospitalized.

The 76-year-old leader’s health has drawn increased public attention in recent years, amid criticism that his office has not always fully disclosed medical information. Speculation intensified last month when Netanyahu revealed he had undergone radiation treatment for a malignant prostate tumor, saying he had delayed disclosure to prevent potential exploitation by Iran during wartime.

Netanyahu has faced several medical procedures in recent years, including the implantation of a pacemaker in 2023, hernia surgery in 2024, and prostate removal surgery later that year. Previous hospitalizations and limited medical documentation have fueled ongoing public debate about transparency regarding his overall health.
