Iranian strikes on military bases used by the United States in the Middle East caused an estimated 800 million dollars in damage during the first two weeks of the war, according to a new analysis by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and reporting by the British Broadcasting Corporation. Much of the destruction occurred in the initial wave of retaliatory attacks following the launch of the conflict by the United States and Israel.

Key targets included air defence and satellite communication systems in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. A major strike damaged a radar system linked to a missile defence platform in Jordan valued at roughly 485 million dollars. Additional damage to buildings and infrastructure across several bases is estimated at about 310 million dollars.

Satellite imagery indicates that some air bases were hit multiple times, highlighting a focused effort to degrade surveillance and missile defence capabilities. The broader war has already cost the United States tens of billions of dollars, with the Defense Department seeking hundreds of billions more as casualties rise and regional instability deepens.

The conflict has also disrupted the global economy amid tensions around the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump has said the United States is making strong progress toward its military objectives, though uncertainty remains over the duration and potential escalation of the war.
