Former US Rep. George Santos has been sentenced to over seven years in prison for fraud and identity theft. Santos pleaded guilty to federal wire fraud and aggravated identity theft and expressed remorse in court. However, the judge was not convinced and sentenced him to 87 months behind bars. Santos admitted to deceiving donors and stealing identities to fund his campaign.
