Strikes on Iran thwarted bomb designed to 'cripple Israel electronically' -- report

Israeli and United States strikes last month significantly damaged Iran's nuclear and missile capabilities, according to Israeli sources cited by the Washington Post. The attacks reportedly disrupted Iran's development of two types of nuclear warheads and an electromagnetic pulse weapon intended to cripple Israel's electronic infrastructure. Around half of Iran's ballistic missiles and most of its launchers were destroyed, and the assassination of key Iranian nuclear scientists further set back Iran's weapons programs. Despite these setbacks, Israel was surprised by the number of advanced solid-fuel missiles Iran possessed, which are harder to intercept. While the strikes have delayed Iran's nuclear ambitions, Western intelligence suggests the damage may not be as extensive as some officials claim, and Iran may have safeguarded some of its enriched uranium before the attacks.
