The Israeli Navy has intercepted the Handala, an activist boat attempting to breach the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip. According to the Foreign Ministry, all passengers on board are safe and the vessel is being escorted to the Israeli coast. The ministry emphasized that such unauthorized attempts are considered dangerous and unlawful, and said the activists will be deported after the boat arrives at Ashdod Port. The Handala, operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and carrying 19 activists along with two journalists, is the latest in a series of efforts to reach Gaza by sea.
