Iranian forces have killed six militants in a raid in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan, according to state media. The group is alleged to have ties to Israel and was reportedly planning an attack on a vital facility in eastern Iran. The operation, which resulted in the arrest of two additional suspects, left two intelligence agents and a police officer wounded. The province, bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, has long been a hotspot for violence involving security forces, separatists, and traffickers.
