Pakistan has delivered a new consignment of humanitarian aid for Gaza, arriving at EL Arish International Airport in Egypt amid escalating fears of famine in the territory. The shipment, totaling 100 tons, was organized under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and coordinated by the National Disaster Management Authority alongside Al-Khidmat Foundation. Embassy officials handed the relief items to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for distribution to Palestinians inside Gaza.
This latest delivery brings the total aid sent from Pakistan to Gaza to 1,915 tons, with further consignments planned in the coming days. Pakistan has consistently provided support to Gaza, responding to severe food shortages and warnings from international monitors about widespread starvation. The government and people of Pakistan, with significant contributions from Al-Khidmat Foundation, have pledged to continue their humanitarian assistance.
Pakistan has also called for an end to Israeli military actions in Gaza and urged the international community to lift the blockade restricting aid supplies. Since the start of the conflict in October 2023, more than 62,000 Palestinians have been killed, most of them civilians, according to figures considered reliable by the United Nations.
