The Israeli army announced it killed a member of Hezbollah in a targeted strike in southern Lebanon, accusing the group of planning attacks against Israel. Despite a ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024, Israel has continued strikes in Lebanon, alleging that Hezbollah is rebuilding its military capabilities and violating the truce. Lebanese authorities, in turn, have accused Israel of breaching the ceasefire by maintaining military operations and presence within Lebanese territory. Recent Israeli strikes have also targeted members of the Palestinian group Hamas in Lebanon, resulting in casualties at the Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp. Tensions remain high as international efforts continue to address the ongoing conflict and disarmament of Hezbollah.
