Police have confirmed that Israeli security forces killed Abdel-Raouf Shatyeh, the Palestinian responsible for a deadly car-ramming attack near Nablus in May 2024. The attack claimed the lives of two young soldiers from the Nahshon Battalion. After initially surrendering to Palestinian Authority security, Shatyeh was released and evaded capture until a raid by Israeli forces located him in eastern Nablus. Upon confirming he was armed, the troops opened fire, and later verified his death using a drone. Several individuals accused of assisting Shatyeh were also detained during the operation.
