Security forces launched a major counterterrorism operation in northern Samaria early Wednesday morning. The operation follows the elimination of Sultan al-Ghani, who was responsible for the murder of Gideon Perry in August. During the overnight raid, five accomplices were apprehended, and security forces surrounded and neutralized the suspect after an exchange of fire. Weapons, explosives, and ammunition were discovered at the scene. The operation comes shortly after another terrorist, Ala Raouf Shetiyya, was eliminated for his involvement in a deadly ramming attack against soldiers near Shechem.
