Two soldiers who were critically wounded during a clash in Beit Jann, southern Syria, have stabilized in the intensive care unit at Haifa's Rambam Medical Center. Both soldiers were airlifted directly from the field and underwent emergency surgery for life-threatening gunshot wounds. One soldier was shot in the chest, with the bullet penetrating his protective vest and lodging inside his heart. Surgeons performed a complex operation to stop the bleeding and decided to leave the bullet in place for now, with future procedures being considered. The wounded soldiers are now recovering, and one is already communicating with those around him.
