Four individuals have appeared at the Old Bailey, charged in connection with a break-in at the air base at Brize Norton, an incident claimed by the group Palestine Action. The accused, aged between 22 and 36, face charges of conspiracy to destroy property and conspiracy to enter a prohibited place for purposes deemed prejudicial to national safety or interests. The break-in, which occurred on 20 June, involved protesters spray-painting two military planes, resulting in reported damages currently estimated at £7 million, with repair costs potentially rising to nearly £15 million. A fifth person has also been charged and all five are scheduled for a preliminary hearing in January, with a provisional trial date set for January 2027. Defence lawyers have stated that they have not yet received full evidence regarding the extent of the damage or the repair bill estimates.
