The Defense Ministry and the Jerusalem municipality have signed an agreement to establish a new defense headquarters in the capital and relocate the military's colleges to Jerusalem. The new branch will be built at the city's entrance complex and will include offices for the Defense Ministry and the military, as well as a research and development site. Plans also include the creation of a new military museum near the Mandel Institute, upgrades to the existing induction center, and the search for a new site for a future induction center. The relocation of the military colleges from Glilot base is expected to benefit hundreds of officers and strengthen local neighborhoods. Additionally, the agreement includes advancing housing projects for career officers in the city.
