Eli Feldstein, a former media adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has made explosive claims in a recent interview, alleging that Netanyahu supported his efforts to obtain a classified document related to hostage negotiations in Gaza. Feldstein says he believed the document would strengthen Netanyahu's position that only military pressure could secure the release of hostages, countering public demands for a negotiated deal.
Feldstein further alleges that Netanyahu's chief of staff, Tzachi Braverman, offered to intervene in an investigation into information security, suggesting he could 'shut it down' if it implicated Feldstein or the prime minister's office. The meeting, according to Feldstein, took place in a secretive location within the IDF headquarters.
Both the prime minister's office and Braverman have strongly denied the allegations, calling Feldstein's account false and self-serving, and insisting there was no attempt to leak classified information or interfere with investigations.
