Eid Zawahra, a 52-year-old Bedouin Palestinian from the West Bank town of Duma, was arrested after reporting a group of settlers trespassing with their flock on village land. According to his nephew, the settlers, one of whom was armed, brought their animals to graze between makeshift houses and threatened Zawahra, with one reportedly firing a shot into the air. When military forces arrived, Zawahra was detained on suspicion of stone-throwing, a claim his nephew denies. He was handcuffed, blindfolded, and transferred to Ofer Prison overnight, while police have yet to comment on the incident. Zawahra's family, who work as shepherds, previously lived in a nearby hamlet that was abandoned due to pressure from a neighboring outpost.
