Court rules to allow autopsy of babies who died in daycare, families to appeal

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court has decided to permit an autopsy on two babies who died in an unlicensed daycare center, despite opposition from their families. The ZAKA organization, with the support of the families, plans to appeal the ruling. The decision has sparked large protests in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, with many Haredi demonstrators expressing their objection due to religious beliefs that generally prohibit autopsies. The cause of the babies' deaths remains uncertain, but early reports suggest dehydration after being left in a heated room.
