The Prime Minister's Office announced that the Rafah crossing will remain closed until the completion of Operation Brave Heart, which aims to recover the body of fallen hostage Staff Sergeant Ran Gvili. The reopening of the crossing for pedestrian passage will only be considered after all efforts to locate and recover Gvili's body have been exhausted, in line with agreements made with the United States. The operation is currently focused on a cemetery in northern Gaza, utilizing specialized teams and equipment based on intelligence gathered by Israeli security agencies. Hamas claims it has provided all available information about Gvili's location to mediators and urges Israel to uphold its commitments under the ceasefire agreement.
