Israel's security cabinet was informed that President Donald Trump is advancing a phased agreement with Iran, according to a report by Maariv. The discussion took place during a lengthy meeting in Jerusalem focused on the direction of ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States.

Ministers were told that under the proposed approach, the first stage would address Iran's nuclear program, considered the most urgent issue. Subsequent stages would tackle Iran's ballistic missile capabilities and its support for armed militant groups.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to hold an additional security meeting with senior aides and top ministers to further assess the developments and implications of the talks.
