Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has traveled to Saudi Arabia to attend an emergency ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah. The three-day session will focus on Israel's recent decision to approve land registration procedures in parts of the occupied West Bank, a move widely criticized by Muslim nations and several European countries.

The decision, the first of its kind since 1967, is seen by critics as paving the way for further settlement expansion and possible annexation. Several countries have urged Israel to reverse the measure and to halt settler violence against Palestinian residents in the territory.

During the meeting, Dar is expected to present Pakistan's position, condemning what it describes as an illegal attempt to convert areas of the occupied West Bank into state land and to impose Israeli sovereignty. On the sidelines, he will also hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from member states and visit the holy cities in Saudi Arabia.
