Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said the state government has taken several measures to enhance skills and expand employment opportunities for youth within the state, while also creating a dedicated foreign cooperation department to support those seeking education and jobs abroad. Speaking during the budget session of the Haryana legislative assembly, he said the department’s website provides information on overseas employment, education, trade, and investment, along with a list of authorised agents and guidance on required documentation and government assistance.
The chief minister said strict action is being taken against agents who send youth abroad through illegal routes. A law has been enacted to regulate travel agents and curb fraud. Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam Limited has been authorised to send youth abroad through legal channels and has received approval in principle for a recruiting agent licence from the ministry of external affairs.
Under a recent initiative, 210 youth received offer letters for jobs in Dubai, while 390 youth sent to Israel in two phases are earning monthly salaries of over Rs 3.38 lakh. The government has also received demand for 10,000 workers from abroad and has begun the selection process to send thousands of eligible candidates to Israel and Oman.
