image sourced from original article at A member of the Punjab legislative assembly from the Aam Aadmi Party, Dr Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi, condemned the recent attack on Iran by the United States and Israel during proceedings in the House. He described the incident, which reportedly led to the death of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Khomeini and more than 100 schoolgirls along with doctors and hospital patients, as a humanitarian tragedy.
Dr Sukhi criticized the administration of President Donald Trump and paid tribute to those who lost their lives. He also urged Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan to formally honor the victims in the assembly.
During the Twelfth Budget session of the Sixteenth Punjab Vidhan Sabha, members also paid homage to several prominent figures and citizens who had passed away since the previous session. The House observed a two minute silence as a mark of respect for the departed souls.
