The military's Home Front Command is easing wartime restrictions in several areas assessed to be at lower risk from attacks by Iran and Hezbollah, allowing schools to reopen starting Monday morning. The decision follows a new security assessment indicating a reduced threat of ballistic missiles and rocket fire in those regions.
Areas shifting from 'limited activity' to 'partial activity' include the Beit Shean Valley, Jordan Valley, West Bank, Dead Sea area, West Lachish, Gaza border communities, Western Negev, Southern Negev, and Arava. In these locations, educational institutions may operate as long as adequate shelters are accessible in time. Indoor gatherings of up to 100 people and outdoor gatherings of up to 50 people will also be permitted under the same safety conditions.
Officials cautioned that while the threat level is significantly lower in these areas, attacks and warning sirens remain possible. In the rest of the country, restrictions remain unchanged, with schools closed and gatherings limited to 50 people, provided shelters can be reached quickly.
