Pakistan has advised its citizens living in the Middle East and Arabian Gulf states to exercise extreme caution and avoid unnecessary travel amid escalating regional tensions. The warning follows the reported killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in airstrikes attributed to the United States and Israel, triggering threats of retaliation from Iran.

Iranian authorities have warned of severe consequences, while exchanges of attacks between Israel and Iran have intensified. Strikes have reportedly targeted major airports in Dubai and Kuwait, and Iran has announced operations against United States bases in the Gulf and in Iraqi Kurdistan, raising fears of wider regional instability.

In response, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated its Crisis Management Unit to monitor developments and assist nationals abroad. Citizens have been urged to remain indoors where possible and strictly follow instructions issued by host governments.

The government has also shared emergency contact details for its embassies and consulates across Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait to facilitate support for Pakistanis in the affected regions.
