Palestinian teen Ahmed Manasra has been released from an Israeli jail after serving nine years. Amnesty International and Adalah accuse the Israeli authorities of breaching international law in Manasra's case, including denying him the right to education and basic rights. Recently released Palestinian prisoners have described harsh conditions in Israeli jails, including beatings, overcrowding, and insufficient medical care. The release of Manasra comes after the death of a 17-year-old Palestinian boy who was held in an Israeli jail for six months without charge and died from extreme malnutrition.
